The Proposal

The potential for long term leasing of (approx) 40,000 sqm of former Department of Defence land has allowed the Ashgrove Golf Club to consider a proposal to excise (approx) 7,990 sqm of golf club land for residential development, along its Waterworks Road frontage.

The proposal involves a number of components:

  • Acquisition of 3 x residential properties adjoining the Golf Course for the proposed new residential development; and
  • Excision of 7,990 sqm of the golf course, along the Waterworks Road frontage, which in combination with the 3 existing residential properties will be used for the development of 105 residential dwellings.
  • Acquisition by lease of 40,000 sqm of redundant Department of Defence land for inclusion as part of the golf course by the club;
